One Week to Go. So Much to Believe In.

October 27, 2026

I’m asking for your vote to support our students, stand with our educators, and help every child discover what’s possible.

By Max Maher

One week to go. 💙

Since I launched this campaign on April 7, one question has guided me: Will it help students?

This race is about the child learning to read, the student who needs extra support, and the teenager discovering what their future could hold. It’s about making sure every one of them has people who believe in them and schools that help them succeed.

I’ve stood for strong academics, with a solid foundation in literacy and math and meaningful opportunities to prepare for college, careers, and life.

I’ve stood for educators who deserve the resources, time, trust, and voice to do their jobs well. Teachers’ working conditions are our students’ learning conditions. Supporting the people in our classrooms is essential to supporting the children in them.

I’ve stood for safe, welcoming schools where every student belongs. That includes our LGBTQ+ students, our students with disabilities, and every child whose needs or experiences deserve to be understood. It means taking mental health seriously, strengthening special education, and ensuring students can get the support they need.

Who we elect next week could help determine the future of the school-based health clinic at Park Center. I support the district’s partnership with Park Nicollet/HealthPartners because access to care helps students be ready to learn. I want this clinic to be a lasting resource for our students and families, and I will advocate for its success. Voters deserve to know where every candidate stands on that commitment. My support is clear.

I’ve stood up for access to books and the expertise of our library and media specialists. I’ve stood for responsible use of public dollars, thoughtful questions about spending, and decisions that protect the long-term strength of our schools.

Those commitments come from a belief that public education is one of the most hopeful things we do together. We invest in children we may never meet because their futures matter. We give them opportunities to discover their talents, pursue their dreams, and contribute in ways we cannot yet imagine.

Throughout this campaign, you’ve opened your doors, shared your experiences, asked thoughtful questions, put up signs, and given your time. Thank you. Those conversations have deepened my understanding of what our schools mean to this community and the responsibility that comes with serving it.

There is so much worth working for here. I’m ready to listen, do the homework, ask the hard questions, and work with others to help our students thrive.

I would be honored to earn your vote for the Osseo Area School Board.

One week left. Let’s bring this commitment to our students across the finish line, together. 💙
