Academic Excellence
Strong reading and math, clear progress families can see, and a well-rounded education that keeps creativity and critical thinking in the school day.
Focused, accountable leadership for Osseo Area Schools — rooted in listening to parents, teachers, neighbors, and students across our district.
I’m running because every school board decision should come back to a simple question: is this helping our scholars learn, feel supported, and prepare for what comes next?

Why Max is running
Public schools changed the direction of my life. Teachers helped me see potential in myself before I could fully see it on my own, and that experience shapes why I’m running.
The work of a school board can sound technical: budgets, policies, programs, data, and long meeting agendas. But those choices become real in a classroom. They affect whether a teacher has the tools to reach a struggling student, whether families get clear answers, and whether students are prepared for what comes next.
I’ve spent time showing up, reviewing board discussions, and talking with people across our district. What I’ve heard is simple: families want strong academics, safe and welcoming schools, respected educators, and leadership that can connect big decisions to real results for students.
That is the work I’m ready to take on.

Pediatrician · Small Business Owner · District Resident
“As a pediatrician, I’m voting for Max Maher because we need leaders who are genuinely committed to acting in the best interests of children, not just grandstanding. Time and time again, Max has shown up for kids in our district and spoken up to ensure they have safe, welcoming spaces to learn and grow. I wish more engaged citizens followed his example: refusing to sit on the sidelines, choosing action over frustration, and stepping into the ring to make a difference.”
